One of the most decorated basketball players of the last decade has recently been named by Kia as it's "Most Valuable Player" for the 2012-2013 season. That's right, Kia of Waldorf is proud to announce that Lebron James has taken home the award, after receiving 120 first-place votes from broadcasters and writers in the United States and Canada.

James has been a fan favorite since his talent in high school put him into the international spotlight. He scored 2,036 points so far the year, and is the youngest man in NBA history to attain eight 2,000-point seasons. NBA.com says, "Additionally, he became only the third player in NBA history to total at least 2,000 points, 600 rebounds, 500 assists and 100 steals during a single season, and only the second player to do so more than once after eclipsing those totals in 2008-09."1

"King James" has also been chosen as Player of the Week or Player of the Month five times this year, and in honor of this feat and his Kia MVP nod, the automaker will donate a brand-new 2014 Kia Sorento LX CUV to the Akron Public School After School Program, as James chose this charity to benefit from the "Wheels for Education" program.
