Not only did Kia pay for the tuition of the course for the 150 teenagers but it also donated an entire fleet of new 2013 Kia Rio vehicles for the students and instructors to use.
B.R.A.K.E.S is a nonprofit organization that has been providing safe driving instruction to students across the United States and Canada since 2008. Founded by NHRA drag racing star, Doug Herbet, he wanted to ensure other parents would never have to feel the pain of losing a child. In 2008 an automotive accident claimed the lives of his two sons and ever since then he has been dedicated to keeping teenagers safe on the road.
