What could be more fun than dressing up as your favorite superhero? How about dressing up as your favorite superhero while supporting a great cause? Well, that's exactly what our 2013 Kia Optima hybrid did at the Chicago Auto Show.
Our favorite hybrid sedan flew into Chicago dressed like Superman. Everything from his iconic symbol to his heat vision was integrated into our Kia Optima Hybrid Superman inspired sedan. Kia officials stated that they picked our Optima Hybrid for the superman themed car because of its "strength and unwavering care for the planet."
Here at Kia of Waldorf we were immediately drawn to the custom paint job and grille. Kia designers wanted the red paint on the back to represent Superman's cape and the custom grille to represent his utility belt. We think they pulled the look off and that the Man of Steel would be proud to drive our Optima.
Our Superman Kia Optima hybrid is part of an eight car set. Kia has been designing vehicles whose exteriors are inspired by Justice League superheroes. We have already seen sleek cars like our Flash Kia Forte Koup, Aquaman Rio and Green Lantern Soul.
All of our Justice League inspired vehicles will support DC Entertainment's venerable "We Can Be Heroes" charity. The charitable organization supports families in Africa that are affected by drought and famine. We couldn't be prouder to represent such a humanitarian automaker.
