Cars.com is one of the most popular, and widely-respected vehicular websites on the internet today. So when we here at Kia of Waldorf learned that they had selected the 2013 Kia Optima as the nation's 'Most Affordable Midsize Sedan' we were very pleased, as it backs up many of the great Kia aspects we highlight to customers every day.

The competition for this title is incredibly tight, as affordability is one of the main selling-points that consumers look for in a new vehicle. Vehicles that topped the list had to have modern features like USB and Bluetooth Connectivity, all-power features, and a back-up camera. These types of creature comforts were all taken into account, along with the various vehicle's estimated 5-year fuel costs. In particular, the Optima LX trim performed especially well.

Cars.com's Editor-in-Chief, Patrick Olsen said, "The Optima topped the list because of its combination of great features, low price and impressive estimated five-year fuel cost. With an estimated $9,750 in fuel cost over five years, the Optima topped out at just $32,975, which is more than $3,000 lower than the average midsize sedan for the same period of time."1

For this year, even the Kia Optima Hybrid LX Convenience Package trim is listed in 5th place overall.
