Ever heard of the Kia cee'd? Kia of Waldorf will give you a hint. The compact hatch can't be found amidst our new Kia autos at 3188 Crain Highway Waldorf, MD 20603. Introduced nearly six years ago now, the five-door Kia model delivers enjoyable drive and snappy styling to our fellow Kia fans abroad in Europe.
Despite the fact that it won't be reaching our shores anytime soon, we're intrigued by all the Kia cee'd has to offer. Most recently, that "offering" comes in the form of a new koup variant. Named the Kia pro_cee'd, the three-door koup puts a sportier spin on the traditional hatch and displays distinct styling cues.
Peter Schreyer, Chief Design Officer for Kia, talks about the inspiration behind his creation which will make its official entrance in Paris very soon. "This car embodies emotion and energy through and through...Kia is on a distinctive design adventure and the all new pro-cee'd spearheads this forward looking journey."1
With a lower ride height, redefined bumper, and sleek lines, the pro_cee'd is likely to please European drivers with a desire to turn heads. While exact underpinnings are still under wraps, industry purveyors expect the model to house similar petrol and diesel options as its hatch sibling. What's more, a performance-tuned variant isn't past the point of possibility either.
