The car maker Kia is known for many things including exceptional auto design. Kia is now taking the image of their vehicles to a whole new level with a new landmark showroom in London. The best part being that this isn't just any old showroom; this showroom is located in a renovated parking garage! The South Korean automaker is investing approximately one million pounds to restore the building, which is located in Collindale, near north London and is called Humming Bird Kia. The showroom will re-open in early July 2012.
Fifteen cars is the amount of vehicles this enormous new showroom is slated to hold and it will also feature:- A dedicated MOT facility- A workshop with seven work bays- A customer service area- A major trade parts operation.The semi-derelict multi-story parking garage was previously used for motor retailing, but the Kia brand's influence will greatly improve and enlarge the space. Humming Bird Kia will not feature the brand's recently announced "Red Cube" architecture (due to its previous construction), but it will feature strong red cladding on its exterior to complement the brand's image, as well as an interior fit with the latest brand standards. As Simon Hetherington, Dealer Development Director at Kia Motors UK explain, "This remarkable new dealership will reflect our strategy of expanding and improving our dealer network in the same way as Kia has built its brand and its product range in recent years."1
