If you think only the Germans know how to build a proper sports car, think again. You know the GT Concept Kia showcased at the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show a few months ago? Well, Kia has given word they're bringing it into production in roughly a year.

For those of you who maybe missed the concept's debut, allow Kia of Waldorf serving Waldorf to recap. The Kia GT Concept features a four-door sedan body with four-wheel drive (like at least one Bavarian luxury automaker we know), and seating for four. Its boldly sculpted body commands such attention, and lends such an extreme luxe sports car vibe to the vehicle, that the editors at Top Speed fist mistook it for an exotic Maserati.

Inside, the Kia GT Concept is just as beautiful and fully tricked out with an impressive schema of technology. From sleek lines, you've never before seen on a Kia, to premium materials and futuristic equipment such as a rear-view camera with playback capabilities, it's designed to impress - and give Beamer and old Four-Rings a run for their money.

To match the Kia GT Concept's truly awesome appearance, Kia fitted it with a 3.3-liter turbo V6 engine, that kicks out nearly 400 hp and 394 lb.-ft. of torque. How many of these specs will transcend concept to production, however, remains to be seen. Though, rumor has it the production GT won't be a far cry from the concept and Kia might even build two additional variants - a coupe and a wagon.

Stay tuned to find out the definitive direction of the Kia GT Concept. Kia of Waldorf, located at 3188 Crain Highway Waldorf, MD 20603 is your local source for all Kia news. And remember, in the meantime, you can stay up to date on our current new Kia and used-car inventories online, anytime.
